brief description of the talk on Active Learning Strategies:
Teachers who want to increase student learning should adopt active learning. Most definitions of active learning focus on doing and reflecting, or involving students in doing things and thinking about what they are doing. Active learning strategies are better than simply lecturing because it involves the students minds actively to develop their knowledge. I will go over ten strategies that I have used such as Think-Pair-Share; Three Step Interview; TAPPS; Visible Quiz; Pass-a-Problem; Concept Map, Interrupted Case Studies; Clicker Questions; and Strip Sequence.
